Mrs Hall had stuck by her husband when he was jailed for three years for his involvement in a £3.4m cigarette smuggling racket.
After his release in 2012 they went on to have their second and third children.
So it came as something of a shock when Mr Hall, 42, moved out of the family home last April claiming their marriage "wasn't working".
She was "heartbroken" when, two months later, he told her he was in a new relationship. When he subsequently offered to have breakfast with his estranged wife, Mrs Hall instead posted the entire meal, including cereal, toast, bacon and sausages, through the letterbox.
She shattered a pane of glass with her mobile phone before twice kicking his Mercedes.
She later bombarded Mr Hall with 139 phone calls - some at 3am.
She took their youngest child with her when she followed him in her car and then punched him as he went to his local pub.
In a statement to police Mr Hall, a coach for non-league Macclesfield Town, said: "I just want her to get help. I don't wish to get a restraining order against her because we are trying to sort custody out over our children."
The court heard Mrs Hall, a part time shop assistant, had suffered a series of family bereavements and had been placed on a course of Valium.
She was sentenced to a 12 month community order, ordered to complete 40 hours unpaid work and pay £170 costs.
