She has appeared on the cover of the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue three times.
And though Kate Upton has veteran savvy, her chances of gracing the front for a fourth time could have been swept away, the MailOnline reported.
Video footage was released by the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Instagram on Tuesday of the 25-year-old model being knocked off a rock by a huge wave during a shoot in Aruba.
The blonde bombshell was topless for the sultry shoot as she narrowly avoided disaster as an unsuspecting wave knocked her off balance.
Luckily she did not fall directly onto the rock too hard and seemed to walk away from the incident with minimal damage.
In the short clip Kate gave her account of what happened as she explained: 'The next wave coming, it didn't look that large from my point of view but it must have hit the rock just right and caught on.'
The only pieces of clothing the wife of MLB superstar Justin Verlander wore were nude bikini bottoms with a long gold tiered tulle skirt.
Kate said: 'This skirt whenever it's wet with all the tools it is very heavy and it dragged me down.
'Everybody was very scared especially MJ.' The unfortunate tumble happened during her shoot back in October on the beautiful Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba.
Photos from the time showed the ugly incident as it unfolded as Kate seemingly did not let it affect her as she was all smiles just minutes after the fall.
The blonde bombshell in 2011 was named the Rookie Of The Year when she made her debut appearance on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
She also graced the cover of the annual edition in 2012, 2013 and 2017.
Kate gained Internet fame in April 2011 when a video of her doing the dougie hip-hop dance at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral.
She also went viral in April 2012 with a video of herself doing the Cat Daddy dance.
The top model also has branched out into movies and starried in 2014's The Other Woman along with Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Kate has been dating her fiance Justin Verlander since 2014. She and the Houston Astros pitcher were engaged in 2016 and married in Tuscany, Italy in November just after his big World Series win.
