Fashion got a chance to truly shine at a glittering runway show at London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
The museum hosted four Swarovski couture catwalk jewellery shows last weekend as part of a Fashion in Motion series, which aims to bring high fashion to a wider audience.
The spectacular shows featured Swarovski's Runway Rocks collection of specially commissioned one-off jewels by 16 of the world's most creative and innovative designers, including Johnny Rocket, who has designed for Julien Macdonald; Shaun Leane, who collaborates with Alexander McQueen; and Studio Job, who makes jewels for Viktor & Rolf.
Other top names included Simon Harrison, Philip Treacy, Judy Blame and rising star Elizabeth Galton.
Swarovski - the world's leading manufacturer of cut crystal - has a long tradition, dating back to the 1950s, of collaborating with eminent designers, such as Christian Dior and Coco Chanel, to create avant-garde crystal jewellery.
Last year the company created its first Runway Rocks collection of catwalk jewellery working with some of today's most important designers. The museum's Swarovski shows featured jewels from both the 2003 and 2004 collections.
