Spanish heartthrob Javier Bardem has been getting a lot of phone calls from Hollywood, but Tinseltown has yet to come up with an offer that would tempt him to leave his home, and his ham.
"There are great American movies and there are a lot of very bad movies, a lot of trash there," Bardem told Reuters. "What they are offering me very often is the trash, so I prefer to stay at home where we have jamon [ham] which is great."
"I would go there for a job if it was a good job," he added after the successful screening of his film Mar Adentro (Out to Sea) at the Venice Film Festival. "But I would go back to the jamon. I wouldn't be myself without jamon," he said.
