"You wanna play hockey?" I asked. "The paddock's a bit rough."

"Nah," said Connor. "P-paddock golf."

I just nodded. I wasn't even going to ask him what paddock golf was.

"I've got something for you too," said Tammy. She took off her bag and pulled out an envelope and a small package.

"Aw, thanks Tam," I said, giving her a smile.

"Get off!" she cried. "It's not from me."

I pulled the card out of its envelope.

Dear Davin,
Happy birthday, I've missed you heaps since I've been home. Tammy told me that you took your hand off the car after I kissed you. I'm sorry that you took your hand off (not that I kissed you) but it sounds like things turned out okay in the end.I made this present with some help from my brother, I hope you like it. I might be able to come back down in the next holidays. Say hi to everyone for me.
