By ROB CHILDS
'Nothin',' Tom grunted. 'How d'yer know my name?'
'Heard it ... on the beach ... yesterday,' came back the jerky response as the boy began to work the swing higher.
'Didn't see you there.'
'I was ... in the water.'
'So what's your name, then?'
'My mates ... call me ... Leo.'
Tom sniggered. 'What - Leo the lion?'
The boy relaxed, content now to let the swing carry him back and forth more smoothly.
'Sort of. Leo's my Zodiac sign,' he explained. 'What are you?'
Tom shrugged to show he didn't really care. 'Taurus.'
'Ah, right - the Bull.'
'Yeah, so what?'
