Actor Wesley Snipes is suing New York City, charging that it has no jurisdiction to arrest him as part of an Indiana paternity case.
The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court, seeks a court ruling invalidating an arrest warrant issued by a New York family court judge.
The Manhattan judge took the action on an interstate paternity petition filed in Indiana by a woman who says the tough-talking action star fathered her young son.
In his suit, Snipes charges that the woman is a mentally ill former crack addict who has claimed to be the mother of many children of celebrities.
He said the woman began having delusions about him after watching the movie Blade.
