`Dead,' I said.
Scott nodded. `That's where you come in Rhys. I'm going to Melbourne. To see the Premier. I shall ask for a pardon. For all the cats on Death Row.'
`A pardon?'
`Yeah. Why not? With one stroke of his hand the Premier can save all the cats.'
`What do you want me to do?' I said.
`Look after Singenpoo. Stay here and don't let her out. She wants to go to the pound to save all the cats. If anything happened to her I'd die.'
Just then Singenpoo began to scratch the window. She was really upset.
