'Sick to my stomach': Disgusting note left on receipt by vile customer

A waiter was left "sick to his stomach" after discovering one customer he had served all night had written a hateful message on the receipt.

Khalil Cavil, 20, shared details of his encounter with the racist patron who left behind a nasty message that said: "We don't tip terrorist", leaving no tip for his $158 bill.

"At the moment I didn't know what to think nor what to say, I was sick to my stomach," Cavil posted on Facebook. "I share this because I want people to understand that this racism, and this hatred still exists. Although, this is nothing new, it is still something that will test your faith."

Cavil told the Odessa American: "It's not about them, and it's not about me. It's about this hatred that is still going on, that is still here and prevalent. I just wanted people to understand that."

However, the restaurant's chief operating officer wasn't so lenient toward the racist customer.

"We stand by and support our employee," chief operating officer Terry Turney said. "Racism of any form is unacceptable and we have banned this customer from returning to our restaurant."

Cavil's Facebook post has drawn more than 3300 comments and been shared more than 8500 times.

Some people have since offered to pay the tip.

"Khalil i will tip you mega," one person wrote.

Another supported Cavil and apologised for the abuse he had to go through.

"I am sorry that you were treated so ignorantly by these customers. Each one of us can always be better. Stand tall and continue on your journey, you seem to have a forgiving and loving heart. I wish you the best in all things."
