Few things are certain in life: death, taxes and the annual debate over supermarket hot cross buns being sold in the days following Christmas.
Like clockwork, fury was unleashed online this week after a shopper discovered a cranky handwritten note stuck to a six pack of chocolate Easter buns inside a Perth Coles.
"The last time I checked, the celebration of the birth and death of Jesus were not separated by less than a month," the terse letter, penned on a floral notepad, read.
In the hours after the image was shared to Facebook, passionate consumers weighed in on the age-old discussion.
Of more than 700 people to comment on the post, many were left shaking their head at the unnecessary aggressive tone.
