A fish store has reportedly been shut down after owners were caught sticking plastic googly eyes on fish in an attempt to make them look fresher.
Images of the unconvincing "fresh fish" were shared on social media showing one of the fake eyes slipping off the fish.
The incident, which happened in Kuwait, led to other rival fish stores advertising their fresh fish "without cosmetics" with a picture of a fish and a selection of coloured contact lenses.
Outraged customers took to social media to slam the fish shop's ploy.
