A former Navy diver who says he drinks 7.5 litres of water a day so he can communicate telepathically with Sheryl Crow was acquitted yesterday of stalking the pop singer.
A jury rejected the prosecution's contention that Ambrose Kappos, 38, had a dangerous obsession with Crow. The Grammy Award-winner had testified that Kappos scared and alarmed her. Crow's sister also testified that Kappos had asked her to arrange a meeting with the singer. Her father, Wendell, testified that Kappos told him he "was the soulmate for my daughter".
