Canadian singing star Shania Twain was in Wanaka this week seeking advice on high country farming.
It is reported that Twain has bought Motatapu Station in the area but is awaiting consent from the Overseas Investment Commission.
Arthur Scaife is the father of Sally Mackay, the current co-owner of the station, and a specialist in farming the area having done it for most of his life.
Mr Scaife says his daughter brought Shania Twain over for a quick visit.
However, he says he spoke mostly with Twain's husband.
