Australian actor Eric Bana and Oscar-nominated Terrence Howard are to star in a thriller about the capture of the notorious "BTK" serial killer.
The Hollywood Reporter said Bana, and Howard would play the two men who hunted down the killer, Dennis Rader.
Rader murdered 10 people in and around Wichita, Kansas, in a reign of terror between 1974 and 1991 before he was caught in 2005. He was given the acronym "BTK" because of his modus operandi - bind, torture, kill.
The movie, Factor X, focuses on the relationship between the two men who tracked down Rader, a counter-terrorism expert from Washington (played by Howard) and a Wichita police detective (Bana).
British director Ridley Scott will produce the film and may also direct.
