Selfie queen Karen Danczuk has revealed she is bisexual after claims a former partner had threatened to expose her.

The former Rochdale councillor, who recently separated from her husband Simon Danczuk MP, made the announcement on her Twitter page.

She tweeted to her 66,600 followers: "I'm sick of people trying to make money off me so let me get it out now. Im bisexual...I admit it. So ex G friend your plan has failed. KD"

The self-confessed 'Queen of the Selfie', noted for posting images of herself on social media, separated from Mr Danczuk, the Labour MP for Rochdale who helped to expose Sir Cyril Smith as a paedophile, in June.

Mrs Danczuk, 32, embarked on a strict diet and exercise regime with her personal trainer Ben Bate, who she was accused of having an affair with. Both deny the affair but she admitted that since her and Mr Bate were both going through their own separations they could "relate to each other".

Last month the mother-of-two was criticised by Twitter users after defending Lord Sewel's cocaine-fuelled sex party with prostitutes.

Mrs Danczuk, the self-confessed 'Selfie Queen', told her followers that the peer's private life was his business alone.

The former Labour councillor later added: "If you're a royal you can do what you want with taxpayers' money, if you're a lord you can't?

"I judge people doing a job by their job, not their bedroom antics."
