After their evening walk, Jake put Seiko back in the shop with his basket, water bowl, and dinner. Before Jake went home to his apartment above the shop, he said, "Watch carefully, Seiko. Other shops in this area have been robbed. Make sure we're not next!"

"Right, Boss!" replied Seiko.

Seiko's friend, Hot Dog, lived at Pizza Pal's Place, which sold the best pizza in town. That's how Hot Dog got his name. He ate so many leftovers, his breath always smelled hot and spicy!

Hot Dog enjoyed visiting Seiko when he had gossip to share.
