Jake, Seiko's owner, had bought Seiko a special stopwatch to hang off his collar. It was also a burglar alarm. Jake bought it just in case Seiko forgot he was supposed to be a watchdog. That was how Seiko got his name. Seiko is a brand of watch that Jake sells in his shop. It was Seiko the Watchdog's job to stop burglars and watch watches and all the other valuable things in Jake's Jewellery Shop.
