Fifth time around the block in 17 years for the franchise starring a demonic doll. Chucky (voice: Brad Dourif) comes back to life to stalk Jennifer Tilly (played by Jennifer Tilly - deliberately badly).

Devotees will know that in Episode 4, Bride Of Chucky, the doll met up with Tiffany (Tilly), and the tone was changed from slasher to that more recently popular genre, slasher comedy.

This time the pair are revived by their anatomically incorrect son (Billy Boyd) on the set of the B-movie Chucky Goes Psycho and from there everything - including what remains of taste - goes downhill in a handbasket.

The DVD is packed with extras - commentary from Tilly and writer-director Don Mancini, and a more technical offering from Mancini and puppeteer Troy Gardner. Hardcore fans will appreciate 150 slices of Chucky trivia, his family album and a retrospective journey over the past 17 years. Finally there are two interviews - one with Chucky, including his original screen test and another with Chucky and Tiffany, both carried out completely in character.
