Russell Crowe has performed his first live singing gig as a solo performer.
The 41-year-old played songs from his new album My Hand My Heart to 160 people at the Vanguard in Sydney.
Crowe's wife Danielle Spencer was in the audience, as were bodyguard and close friend Mark "Spud" Carroll, British singer Leo Sayer, director Baz Luhrmann and former Superjesus singer Sarah McLeod.
