J.K. Rowling has been named the greatest living British writer.
The creator of Harry Potter topped a poll by The Book Magazine, receiving nearly three times as many votes as the second-placed author, fantasy writer Terry Pratchett.
The next three authors on the list are all Booker Prize winners - Ian McEwan, Salman Rushdie and Kazuo Ishiguro.
