Dating site EliteSingles has delved in to the cost of love, revealing that a typical date night in New Zealand, which consists of a mid-range dinner for two, a shared bottle of wine, two cinema tickets, and an 8km taxi ride home, will set you back an average of $132.
Queenstown tops the charts at $158, a figure not far off the most expensive date night city in the world, Oslo, in Norway where a romantic evening is $186.
