A popular haircare brand revealed all of the tricks other brands use in misleading hair ads.
Suave Professionals exposed how deceptive brands have been for decades when it comes to advertising and achieving impossible hairstyles.
Even though companies are trying to sell false results, people are not falling for it as a shocking 74 per cent of millennial women don't believe they can achieve the hair shown in advertisements, reports the Daily Mail.
In the video released by Suave different models are shown portraying fake ads with behind-the-scenes footage of what lengths brands actually go to in order to show "goal-worthy" hair.
One scene features a model in a sequin dress lying down on a black backdrop with her long and luscious wavy blonde hair flowing behind her.
When the director yells cut the woman gets up while the hair that was actually extensions remains glued to the background and the model reveals she actually has short dry hair.
In another scene depicting an ad on how to get smooth hair, a model is standing in front a green screen while two people in green fencing suits stand on either side of her.
The two men in green fencing suits each have a fine brush and a sword in their hands as they blend into the background while finely brushing the model's hair.
Meanwhile, as the fake commercials are being filmed, actual women are washing and styling their hair using Suave products and seeing real results.
Aside from the two tricks shown in the video, there are tons of other hacks that are used to make hair look beautiful on camera when it's actually fake.
Some of the most commonly used misleading tricks haircare brands use in ads involve a fishing rod and styrofoam balls.
Fishing rods with lines tied to a model's hair to make it seem like it's floating on air and inserting styrofoam balls under the hair to display volume are just two of the insane measures brands take.
Upon learning about these insane tricks, a study commissioned by Suave of 1,561 women ages 18-34 revealed two things.
"61 per cent of women are left feeling frustrated while more than 50 per cent report feeling deceived."
Other results from the study showed that: "More than seven in ten women think that hair shown in advertising is unattainable.
While "69 per cent believe that haircare advertising is misleading."
"82 per cent agree that haircare brands shouldn't use practices that could mislead consumers.
"84 per cent think haircare brands should inform consumers of these practices for honesty and transparency.
"More than one-third of women who bought a haircare product based on a specific claim report they are not satisfied with the product."
As a result of all the fake advertisements going around Suave Professionals created the video to show real women using the products and seeing real results.
The products used in the video are from the Suave Professionals Styling Collection which is infused with ingredients of 100 per cent natural Argan oil, bamboo and olive oil.
