Retired Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman finally has the bass guitar he lost in Wellington nearly 40 years ago.
Wellington musician and business consultant Nick Sceats, who had the guitar for 15 years, air-freighted it to Wyman at Easter after discovering that it belonged to the millionaire rock legend.
Mr Sceats received a letter from Wyman late last week acknowledging that he had back in his hands the bass that he thought he had lost forever.
"It doesn't look too bad for wear and tear, considering what it has gone through and the travelling it has done over the years," Wyman said.
