A judge has issued a three-year restraining order against a man who allegedly sent threatening letters to Halle Berry's home.
Superior Court Judge Linda Lefkowitz ruled that Robert Sawyer of San Pablo, about 25km northeast of San Francisco, was to stay 90m away from Berry and to keep the same distance from her home, work and vehicle.
The order also prohibits him from contacting the actress by phone, mail or email.
Court records claim Sawyer's letters talk about "delusions he has about a purported romantic relationship (with the actress)".
