The long-running video game franchise becomes the second episode of a dumb zombie movie franchise. Milla Jovovich stars as Alice, who awakes from a spell of "observation" in hospital to find that her home town, Raccoon City, has been over-run by the undead, who see her and her fellow citizens as fast-food. She and her fellow burgers-to-be try to run from the city. They can run so they can't be fried.
As usual, the film-makers know that movies aimed for adolescent males will sell lots of DVDs, especially if Milla Jovovich is wearing not very many clothes and kicking butt. Some of the many features here are funnier than the movie (oh, that's right, it wasn't supposed to be a comedy).
In Undead Boot Camp thousands of extras are trained to pretend they're drunk. In Corporate Malfeasance, Jovovich and her mates try to explain how this is a commentary on the corporate nasties of America (um ... what's more corporate than the games and movie industries?). There are 20 deleted and extended sequences and a couple of commentary tracks.
