I saw a pregnant lady on the bus offer her seat to an elderly lady. Meanwhile, college teenagers were going about their conversations. What ever happened to common courtesy? My, the times have changed!

Even though dads make terrible jokes and say embarrassing things, dads are the best. Dads are easy to talk to and won't yell at you if you lose your keys, or sweater, or shoes. Dads will do anything for their daughters, even if it means being late for work or staying up late to help you if you're sick. So next time your dad tells a joke, laugh, because he helped you all those times you needed help.

I agree with Carol regarding indicating at roundabouts, but she shouldn't have to sit and wait for cars approaching on the opposite side. She should have plenty of time before the other vehicle gets close to her. It is helpful when people indicate before they exit, but if they are waiting for vehicles further back, they are holding up traffic. The rule is to give way, not stop and wait.

On Friday I attended the Auckland Food Show. It began to rain as I was waiting for my lift to come through the traffic. Thank you to the wonderful security staff who let me use their umbrella so both myself and the newly acquired goodies didn't get drenched. Breanna
