A UK radio presenter sent Twitter into a frenzy with a snap of himself in a dress he was wrongly sent by Asos.

Dylan Evans, from Liverpool, ordered a pair of black trousers and sunglasses from the British-based online retailer earlier this month, the Daily Mail reports.

But when the package arrived Evans, 22, was surprised to find it contained a cold-shoulder maxi dress instead.

To highlight the mistake to Asos, Evans, who also presents on TV and radio, tweeted the company a photo of himself in the flirty frock with the caption: "Ayy @ASOS (I might be wrong) but, I'm pretty sure you've sent me the wrong order...," alongside a snap of his actual order confirmation.

The hilarious photo, which shows Evans looking despondent in the dress and a pair of Christmas socks, quickly went viral.

It has been 'liked' more than 100,000 times and shared more than 32,000 times on the social network.

Hundreds of delighted followers responded, with many pointing out how well the dress suited Evans.

One posted: "You look so good and it is definitely your colour." Another agreed: "I'm pretty sure they sent you the right order as that dress looks amazing."

The official Asos Twitter account responded to arrange a swap for the correct items.

It tweeted: "Ayy Mr Dylan, you are definitely rocking that dress! Please send over your 9 digit order number and your ASOS registered email address in a DM and we can organise a cheeky swap to happen."

The post was met with outrage from Evans' followers, who argued he should be able to keep the dress and receive the items he had ordered.
