We didn't think it could get much better than 50 Cent and upcoming performances by Grammy-laden Kanye West. But we were wrong. It seems the hip-hop stars don't want to be outdone in their quest to perform in New Zealand. Next on the list? Public Enemy and Snoop Dogg.
Public Enemy play the St James on April 6 to promote their New Whirl Odoralbum, reuniting original members Chuck D, Professor Griff, Terminator X and Flavor Flav. Kora play support.
A week later, Snoop and his 12-piece band, the Snoopedelics play the Events Centre, Wellington, April 13, and the Supertop, Ericsson Stadium, April 14. The rapper is still riding high after the success of his album The Masterpiece, and a more recent Best Of and will soon release Welcome to the Chuuch, a compilation featuring artists from his label. He last performed in New Zealand in 1998.
