Prince William debuted his new shaven haircut today as he backed the UK's national roll out of a recruitment drive to help veterans find work in the NHS.
As the Duke of Cambridge met ex-servicemen and women at a children's hospital in London, it was quickly apparent he'd taken a spin in the barber's chair before the appointment.
And his new look is a wise one for anybody walking the path of male pattern baldness.
While some men will try to hold on to what little hair they may have left - think comb overs or straggled ponytails tied at the base of a run strip - getting rid of all of it is usually considered the best move.
Once in possession of a cherubic mop of blonde curls much like his mother's, since his 20s, the hair atop William's crown has been slowly disappearing.
