Prince George was taken to watch his father play polo over the weekend, but all the playful prince wanted to do was muck around on the grassy banks with his mum.
The nearly two-year-old future king swapped his usual knee-high socks for navy blue $30 Crocs to attend the Festival of Polo at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire, England where Prince William and his younger brother, Prince Harry, were playing.
Prince George kept his 33-year-old mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, busy, picking up polo mallets, kicking balls and tumbling around on the lawn.
The Daily Mail noted that Kate was looking "relaxed and enviably slim just six weeks after giving birth to Princess Charlotte", and made much of her skinny jeans and striped top and the fact both mother and son's outfits were coordinated.
Also enjoying the day out were royal youngsters Mia Tindall, the daughter of William's cousin Zara, and Savannah and Isla, the daughters of Zara's brother Peter Phillips and his wife, and Autumn. However, there was no sign of the newest royal, six-week-old, Princess Charlotte.
Days earlier Prince George stole the show at the Queen's official birthday, making his first appearance on the balcony at Buckingham Palace and waving to the crowd.
The adorable toddler may have had to play second fiddle to his new baby sister, Princess Charlotte, last week, when the first official photographs of the pair were released, but he was back centre stage and loving every minute of it.
Kensington Palace revealed he was wearing the same outfit his father wore in 1984.
