Prey (Xbox 360)

Pros: Full of lushly textured landscapes that look great on the Xbox 360. Lots of unique aspects, including an environment that takes on a life of its own, and portals through which aliens can appear at any time.

Cons: Lacks the white-knuckled tension of Doom and some of the puzzle-like levels are frustratingly difficult.

Verdict: A unique twist on the "aliens on a spaceship" premise that Doom mastered.
