The entertainment manager of hip Ponsonby bar, The Golden Dawn, is surprised a social media post he penned about the "dicks, suits, and sleazes" that frequent the hot spot has gone so far.
In a Facebook post last night to his 4000-plus followers, Mr Crawley lamented the "ton of drastic changes" Ponsonby had seen and took aim at how "gross" nights out in the suburb had become.

However, he told the New Zealand Herald, that he didn't intend to bag people in the city, but was calling on them to come up with ideas to make Ponsonby a better place.
"I love our clientele, I love our bar and I love the people that come here 99 per cent of the time. I was just really talking about a few bad eggs late at night and the kind of feedback I've gotten from people - where, sometimes, they don't feel comfortable coming out at night.
