Police probe claims Coldplay star assaulted photographer

Police are probing claims that Coldplay star Chris Martin assaulted a photographer.

A band spokesman said the photographer tried to take pictures of the singer and his pregnant wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as they left a London restaurant, and tripped as he ran after their taxi.

In November, a photographer in Australia accused Martin of smashing his car windscreen and letting his tyres down.
