We know that love is ... well, lovely ... but Valentine's Day can be a bit of an overkill on the passion. And it seems we're not alone in feeling this way, with nearly half of all Kiwis saying they won't be doing anything special to mark the day.
However, we do enjoy the cringe factor of love song dedications. Belting out the big ballads (Celine Dion, obviously), bopping like we're part of a boyband (our favourite is N'Sync), and holding a hand to our heart as we wail the cheesiest tunes in to our pretend microphones.
