Robert Plant is donating proceeds from sales of a four-song CD to a charitable organisation that helps people in remote regions of Ethiopia, Mali and Niger.
The former Led Zeppelin frontman has made donations to the group TurtleWill before, but nothing as high-profile as his latest gesture with his band Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation.
"It's all about increasing awareness, breaking away from the usual sort of newsreel approach to human disasters, if you like; illuminating and exposing these conditions from a different angle," he said.
