Rock singer Pete Doherty will face no further action after being arrested in October on suspicion of possessing drugs.
"A man arrested in Shrewsbury on October 1 on suspicion of a drugs offence following a complaint by a member of the public will not be prosecuted," a police spokesman said.
Doherty was, however, arrested again this month in London on suspicion of possessing drugs.
