She has the glamorous lifestyle that comes with being an A-list celebrity, but Gwyneth Paltrow wants to swap the trappings of Hollywood for the "simple life".
The 32-year-old has spoken of her desire for solitude and her plans for a home near her Spanish "second family". Last Christmas the actress was given land in Spain by a couple she first met when staying in their home as a 15-year-old exchange student.
Now the star says: "At this point in my life, I am craving space, air, cleanliness. I want to be able to see sky. I want solitude, and you just don't get that in New York."
Paltrow plans to build a "clean, and simple" house on the land.
She told InStyle magazine: "The way the Spanish live is really healthy. Everybody eats a clean, Mediterranean diet. They come home from work and have a leisurely lunch with their families, then take a nap. They go back and work till 8 pm, then go out and dance all night. The simpler things are, the happier they are."
