Palmerston North to host Kapa Haka Festival

The National Kapa Haka Festival will be held in Palmerston North next year.

About 45,000 people are expected to come to the city for the festival at Arena Manawatu on February 24-27.

Thirty-six kapa haka groups from around New Zealand and Australia will take part in the event, which has been going since 1972.
