Actors Antony Starr and Robyn Malcolm have been named the sexiest man and woman respectively in this year's TV Guide 'Best on the Box' awards.
Starr, who plays twins Van and Jethro on the popular local drama Outrageous Fortune, said he was surprised at the result.
"I'm not really thekind of person who walks around thinking of myself as anything like sexy. I'm sure my family will think it's hilarious and completely disagree," he said.
The on-screen Westie knocked TV One news presenter Simon Dallow from the top spot, which he has held for several years.
"Antony is the first person in seven years to take the sexiest male title from Simon Dallow," said TV Guide editor Julie Eley.
"However, I suspect Simon has always been a bit bemused as to why he won in the first place," she added.
Dallow still managed to hold onto second place in the 'sexiest man' stakes, though he shared the honour with Breakfast weather presenter and Dancing with the Stars contender Tamati Coffey.
Starr's Outrageous Fortune co-star Robyn Malcolm was voted sexiest woman for the second year running.
Forty-something Malcolm said she had some stiff competition in the category.
"There are some sexy birds out there, she said.
"I'll put it down this year to my one nudie walking scene in Outrageous Fortune – maybe that was it. I've got an okay kind of bum."
Rounding out the top three in the 'sexiest woman' category were dancer and Top Town host Hayley Holt and Breakfast's Pippa Wetzell, who is currently on maternity leave awaiting the birth of her second child.
The 'Best on the Box' awards were decided in a public vote by almost 14,000 television viewers over three weeks in February and March.
