Four weeks ago, Professor Phineas, who is my tutor (and a friend) reminded me that I was expected to enter a piece of work in the Festival.
That's Festival with a capital F. It's one of the two big events of the year in Dome. The other is the Games. That's exciting too, but different. The Festival is a full week of dance and drama, every kind of music, poetry, story-telling, exhibitions of sculpture and painting - it's wonderful.
I'd been warned weeks before to prepare something for the art exhibition, and it wasn't that I hadn't thought about it. Now ...
"Have you even made a start?" Phineas asked, trying to look stern, which wasn't easy for him because he has the kind of face that smiles of its own accord, but he did his best. I had to admit that I hadn't.
