Oscar officials are reviewing complaints that the recent winner of the short-film documentary, Mighty Times: The Children's March, misled judges about re-enactments.
The flap arose shortly after the awards show when Steven Kalafer, who was competing for the same Oscar, complained to the Academy that the winners had failed to disclose they had used re-enactments.
A spokeswoman said Oscar rules allow documentaries with re-enactments, so the award would not be taken from director Bobby Houston and producer Robert Hudson. However, she said the academy could change the rules in the future, based on the review findings.
