It's wet break at school and I'm sitting at my desk reading while the rest of the class tries to break the sound barrier. It's not that I'm a goody-goody, I'm just totally hacked off. Uh-oh! Teacher alert!
'Why can't you all follow Sarah Dale's example and sit down quietly with a book?'
Of course, the noise level went straight back up again the moment the teacher left the room, but a few of my friends must have suddenly realised that I wasn't joining in with their game of Pick-the-pencil-case-up-off-the-floor-with-your-teeth. They gathered round my desk, wanting to know what was up with me.
