This cross between a real F1 simulation and an arcade racer fails to satisfy as an out-and-out racing game, mainly because of its flat graphics.

Its real value lies in its official-product status. The 16 tracks are highly detailed, accurate models of the real ones, and all 11 teams and 22 drivers are featured.

Like most such games, there is a choice of out-and-out arcade racing or a season-long campaign.

Cars are customisable to a degree, and you need to adapt them to changeable weather conditions.

Required: Pentium 90, 16MB ram.

Recommended: Pentium 200 with 32MB ram.
