NZ Post plans King Kong, Narnia stamps

NZ Post hopes to stamp its mark on the country's booming movie scene with a series depicting the films King Kong and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Spokesman Ian Long said the company was talking to both film houses about producing stamps.

If agreed, the King Kong stamps would be issued in October and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in December.

King Kong filming is due to wrap this week. Andrew Adamson's remake of C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is due for release in December.
