NZ film tops Miami fest

A film shot mostly in Christchurch will take the prime spot at the Delray Beach Film Festival in Miami this week.

Romantic comedy Meet Me in Miami, produced by Christchurch mother and American expatriate Lisa Abbott, stars two Latin American heart-throbs and two Christchurch actresses. It is about a hotel heir trying to find his childhood Christchurch sweetheart.

The film will have its New Zealand red carpet premiere in Christchurch later this month.
