NZ film a hit in LA

Meet Me in Miami, a Christchurch-Los Angeles production, which features Latino superstars Carlos Ponce and Eduardo Verastegui and several New Zealand actors, had its international premiere at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival on the weekend.

American diva Jennifer Lopez (whom, it had been rumoured, was to attend) was a no-show, but a capacity crowd of 600 packed the Egyptian Theatre. Christchurch producer Lisa Abbott said she was moved by the audience's response.
