New Zealander Ross McCormack was last named best male dancer in Australia's annual Helpmann Awards in Sydney.
Formerly from Christchurch, McCormack graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington in 2001.
McCormack won his award for his performance in Australian Dance Theatre's most recent production, Held.
The Helpmann Awards cover Australia's performing arts sector including musical theatre, opera, classical and contemporary music, and dance.
