Luke jumped. His marker pen clattered on Frankie's desk.
`Get out!'
He stared up at his teacher hovering above him.
`But I was just ...'
`Out!' Her finger pointed to the door. Luke kept his back straight as he walked down past rows of desks, down the stairs and past the bench where he should have sat and waited. Waited for her lecture, stuff that. He carried on past the busy classrooms. She never listened to his side of the story. He slipped between the dental clinic and the assembly hall. Anyway, Frankie's desk looked way better with bombing on it. He leapt over the fence and began to run. Tuesday and Mum would have her money today. His stomach growled.
