The first bottles of British talkshow host Graham Norton's signature Kiwi wine were uncorked in New Zealand this week.
Auckland-based Invivo Wines has been supplying the TV superstar with a weekly case of Marlborough sauvignon blanc in London for three years. Guests of his chat show take home a bottle.
Bottles labelled "Graham Norton's Own Sauvignon Blanc", made in the Wairau Valley, hit stores nationwide on Monday and are flying off the shelves, Invivo co-founder Tim Lightbourne said.
"We wanted to make something special with Graham to thank him for his support over the years. About 3000 bottles were sold here within the first few hours."
In April, hand-picked organic sauvignon blanc grapes were flown to Norton for him to crush with his feet. The juice was sent back to New Zealand within 24 hours.
