New Zealand director and writer Toa Fraser's debut movie No.2 will debut in Germany after Arsenal Film announced it had acquired German rights to the film.
The film won the audience award for dramatic movies at the Sundance festival in the United States last month.
No.2 had its European premiere in the Berlin International Film Festival yesterday, where it screened in the Panorama section.
Managing director of Arsenal Stefan Paul said it seemed clear No.2 was a crowd-pleaser at Sundance and his team were most happy to work with the whole crew and NZ Film at the Berlin festival.
No.2 will open in German speaking Europe in early autumn.
No.2 opens on NZ screens on Thursday.
